TERMS & CONDITIONS
OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS POLICY
Until booking a trip with us, please read and accept the booking terms and conditions mentioned below. We highly advise that you read the Essential Travel Information for your trip before booking to ensure that you are familiar with the itinerary, design, and physical demands of the trip.
CONTRACT
The terms of agreement of the booking form a legally binding arrangement between Discovery Hike and the services it offers. You accept that you have read, heard, and consent to be legally bound by these booking terms by booking a trekking tour with Discovery Hike and paying a non-refundable booking deposit, which is normally 50% of the tour bill, or full payment. Your reservation will be confirmed in writing, and a contract will be established on the date indicated on your confirmation letter or email. If you have any questions about the terms and conditions, please contact the agent with whom you are speaking.
OUR LIABILITIES AND LIMITATIONS
Please note that after the tour/service rate has been finalized, any increases in forest entry fees, trekking, taxes, fuel costs, or guide charges imposed by the Government of India will be paid as extra.
Discovery Hike operates solely as an agent for hotels, airlines, transportation companies, railways, and other service providers, and all trade requests, receipts, contracts, and tickets given by us are subject to the terms and conditions under which these services are offered.
All itineraries are preview itineraries designed to give you an idea of what to expect on your tour. Weather, road conditions, and the physical capacity of the participants, among other things, can force itinerary changes either before or during the trip. In the course of the trip participants’ welfare, convenience, and general well-being, we reserve the right to adjust any timetable.
Our prices are dependent on the current rates that we have agreed with hotels, airlines, and other service providers. Hotels and airlines have the right to change prices at any time. In the event of such adjustments, the prices quoted prior to the adjustment could be adjusted by us in accordance with the changes made by hotels or airlines. Unless otherwise mentioned in the itinerary, all hotel reservations are dependent on the hotel’s standard check-in and check-out times.
CHANGE/CANCELLATION OF BOOKING BY PARTICIPANT
We must be told in writing if a tour or travel service is canceled for some reason, whether avoidable or inevitable.
If you cancel any or all of your reservations, you will be charged cancellation fees. Only when we obtain written confirmation of the cancellation will it be accurate. If you have to cancel a trip, you must: – If we receive the deposit 30 days or more prior to departure, we will keep it;
- We will keep 50% of the net booking expense between 15 and 29 days prior to departure.
- If you cancel your reservation less than 14 days before departure, we can keep 100% of the money you spent.
- Cancellation fees will apply from the time we receive written notice of cancellation, and they will be as follows.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
The tour/trip price does not provide personal travel insurance. While any effort is taken to guarantee everyone’s safety, it is strongly advised that you purchase personal travel insurance that is sufficient to protect you in the case of an emergency. Accidents, disability, sickness, and death care bills, including those relating to pre-existing medical conditions, emergency repatriation (including helicopter rescue and air ambulance if applicable), and personal liabilities would all be covered by the travel insurance. Your travel insurance can also cover cancellation, curtailment, and depletion of baggage and personal belongings, according to Discovery Hike.
AGE AND HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
Many of our trips have a minimum age requirement at the time of travel; please see the relevant Essential Trip Information for more information. While we have no upper age limit for the bulk of our trips, we must warn you that our trips will be physically exhausting, and passengers must ensure that they are physically fit to participate fully. Any minors under the age of 18 must be protected by a legal guardian or, in the absence of a legal guardian, by an escort above the age of 18 that their legal guardian has named. The legal guardian or their designee would be responsible for the day-to-day treatment of the traveler under the age of 18. Please notice that where appropriate, families must upgrade from dorm-share to private quarters. We are unable to guarantee triple or connecting rooms for families; accompanying adults will be expected to share a twin room with those during the trip.
